First Priority of Alabama

Ministry Description
First Priority was born out of a desire on the part of students to practice their faith on their school campuses. The Equal Access Law of 1984 puts into law the students' right to have "religious clubs" meet on public secondary school campuses. In 1990, the Supreme Court upheld the Equal Access Act as vehicle for Christian students to meet together at school. These First Priority clubs, with the support of local youth ministers, provide the opportunity for students to come together as one large peer group on their public school campuses to make a positive difference in influencing others for Jesus Christ.
