Southern Baptists of Texas Foundation

Ministry Description
Established in September 2005 in the state of Texas, the Foundation’s mission is to serve the Convention ministries and churches through planned giving, estate planning, cash management, church lending, investments, stewardship assessments, and financial consulting services. The Foundation’s board of directors is elected by the Convention. The Convention has a controlling financial interest in the Foundation through its sole corporate membership in the Foundation. The Foundation is a tax-exempt entity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the Code). As such, it is exempt from federal and state income tax, and contributions by the public are deductible for income tax purposes. The Foundation has been classified as a publicly supported organization that is not a private foundation under Section 509(a) of the Code.
