Ministry Outreach Center

Parent Organization: Denver Rescue Mission
Ministry Description
The Ministry Outreach Center (MOC) is the administrative office and central warehouse location for the Denver Rescue Mission. It is also one of the Mission's three Client Services locations, distributing clothing, food boxes and furniture. Food: The MOC warehouses food that will be distributed to our various program locations: Lawrence Street Shelter, The Crossing, Harvest Farm, and Champa House. In turn, these facilities serve over 1,500 prepared meals daily. The MOC warehouse also stores food that is distributed in food boxes for families, and shares with other non-profit organizations that serve the poor and homeless. Clothing: Last year at the MOC, we distributed over 155 tons of clothing that was received and processed. Much of the clothing was distributed to needy people in the Denver area. Excess clothing is shipped to people in need internationally. Furniture and household items: Donations of furniture and other household necessities are picked up, processed, inventoried, and redistributed through MOC. Hundreds of families receive basic items for their home each year thanks to generous donations from the community.
