Exile International

Ministry Description
Exile International seeks to transform the lives of former child soldiers and children orphaned by war in Uganda and DR Congo. The children who have been kidnapped and forced to fight in rebel armies have experienced immense trauma that requires therapy and great support to overcome. Exile International provides art therapy and rehabilitative care to help the children heal from these physical and emotional traumas. Through sponsorships, the children are given education, food, housing, and medical care. Exile International also gives these children the opportunity for leadership training that teaches them to become leaders for peace in their communities. Where rebel armies have intended to destroy communities we see a potential in this generation to promote peace in their villages.
