North American Mission Board

Ministry Description
The North American Mission Board exists to partner with churches, associations, and state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, church planting and compassion ministry. We accomplish that through Send Network, our national church planting strategy, and Send Relief, our national compassion ministry strategy. Working together with our partners in these missional efforts, we send and support missionaries and mobilize local churches for the purpose of starting new churches and reaching people in need with practical help and the hope of the gospel.

Global Hunger Relief (GHR) is an initiative of the Southern Baptist Convention combating hunger by addressing physical and spiritual needs. Haiti is in a state of emergency after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the nation on the morning of August 14. The tragedy impacted hundreds of thousands of families and destroyed tens of thousands of homes. The death toll has exceeded 2,200 people and continues to climb as rescue efforts continue.
Hurricane Ida made landfall 16 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina, and like Katrina, this monster storm is creating wide-spread destruction along the Louisiana Gulf Coast with wind damage and flooding. Tens of thousands of people may be without power for weeks.
Whether it is Disaster Relief and recovery, care for widows and orphans or hunger relief and ministry, you and your church can make a difference today. Through Send Relief, the North American Mission Board is assisting churches in reaching people in need with practical help and the hope of the gospel. Donations are fully tax deductible and 100% of all gifts are used to meet the needs of hurting people.
