Pine Cove Christian Camps

Ministry Description
Pine Cove Christian Camps, also known as Pine Cove, Inc. is an interdenominational camp located in East Texas in Tyler, South Texas, in Columbus, near Houston and Westminster, SC. Pine Cove's eleven camps: Woods, Bluffs, Towers, Ranch, Timbers and Shores in East Texas, Crier Creek, Silverado, Outback and Ridge in South Texas, Chimney Point in SC, and Springs in GA are operated for 10 weeks of summer and select times throughout the rest of the year, to meet the spiritual and recreational needs of families, youth, church groups, and other Christian organizations. The twelve camps provide for the operation of Pine Cove. In the summer months, mobile camping teams travel to various churches in the southern U.S. accomplishing the same goals as the twelve camps in Texas, SC and GA. Capital improvements, new additions, and scholarships for hardship and military families are primarily funded through donations.

Pine Cove Christian Camps hosts several weekend conferences for you to choose. Our conference facilities are beautiful, our meals delicious, our activities fun, and our staff friendly…but that is only a small part of who we are. Our desire behind every conference is that people’s lives will be transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Pine Cove’s Outdoor Education program is known as the Institute of Wilderness Studies (IWS). We have worked with districts from around the state to create a curriculum for grades 4-6 that is TEKS based and reinforces what teachers teach in the classroom. When you attend Pine Cove IWS, our trained staff teach all of the classes and activities so teachers and parents are able to build relationships with their students while they are on site.
We strongly believe that every family and child should be able to come to camp. Why? Because we have seen firsthand thousands of lives changed as they experience God at Pine Cove! While we do our best to make camp affordable, not every family and child is able to come on their own. Project 319 benefits families who have lost jobs, been broken by divorce, serve in our military, and a host of other families who for whatever reason need financial assistance.
As kids, youth, adults and families come to Pine Cove, they are able to get away from the urgency, the busyness, and the distractions of the world. They are able to focus on those things that are truly most valuable.
