CBN's international regional centers minister to a variety of children's needs. These include educational support such as tutoring and mentoring, sponsoring school tuition, and donating school supplies as well as providing medical care and nutritious meals for those in need.
CBN provides disaster relief on two levels. 1) immediate relief including medical and health needs of the victims, food distribution, materials such as utensils, blankets, and hygiene-kits, and 2) long-term development where we help solve problems of food sources and livelihood. The strategic locations of our international regional centers worldwide make it possible for us to mobilize teams quickly and be a first-responder when disaster strikes around the globe.
Operation Blessing is bringing hot meals, relief supplies, and volunteer aid to Florence victims in North Carolina. When disasters strike, it’s heartbreaking to see so many lose their homes, their belongings and, in some cases, their livelihoods. But it’s nothing short of miraculous to see how partners like you respond. You can bring relief to those who have been devastated by disasters like Hurricane Florence today.
Since its inception in 1995, CBN.com has been at the forefront of online ministry. CBN's international regional centers conduct medical camps and clinics to provide free medical, dental, optical, and surgical services for the poor and needy who otherwise would receive no care at all. CBN utilizes its in-country staff who best know their country's needs and coordinate available resources to care for the poor. In addition to conducting medical camps in urban and rural communities, we provide life-changing surgeries such as cleft lip and palate, goiter, and cataract.
CBN promotes life skills training in conjunction with teaching trade skills and, in some cases, providing micro-enterprise grants or loans. These enable those in need to learn job skills they need to earn a living and have the money to buy simple tools and supplies to open their own small business. The goal is to move families, villages, and small communities to self-sufficiency.
Just one day after a catastrophic earthquake shook Turkey and Syria, the region has descended into chaos and darkness. But there is hope with Operation Blessing’s international disaster response team rushing critical aid to Turkey. The Christian Broadcasting Network airs television programming in 147 countries and territories and in 31 different languages. The program content is often evangelistic magazine programs produced in the style of The 700 Club, plus youth music programs, animated children's Bible stories, and other high-quality entertainment programs. CBN uses indigenous hosts and language to communicate the gospel message in a culturally relevant way.
CBN has built 1316 wells, providing water for over 418,000 people. Much of the world's population doesn't have access to water and as a result they walk miles each day simply to get water for their families, forcing many to work fewer hours each day. Their income or food supply drops and they are subject to high infant mortality rates and debilitating disease. Access to clean water changes all this.
