Most likely you already have a gift of generosity.
Often equated with charity, generosity is not only a virtue but a spiritual gift from God. In 1 Timothy 6:17-18, Paul instructs Timothy to: "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share."
We encourage your support as a donor, one who has this willingness to share. More specifically, we entreat you to support the organizations and ministries that have been transparent enough in their financial dealings to earn the ECFA seal. As you plan your giving, consider these ministries. To learn more, click Choosing a Ministry to Support.
ECFA members demonstrate a strong desire to keep to the scriptural principles of II Corinthians 8:21 (NIV): "For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also int he eyes of men." Members have proven this desire tangibly by submitting to ECFA’s scrutiny and laying bare their accounts.
